The Total Gym XLS, Product Overview
First and foremost, I love saying that I am the proud owner of the Total Gym LXS Series Universal Home Gym and it is one of the best investments I have ever made!
To me, there is nothing more rewarding than eating well, making sure I’m taking the right supplements and getting daily exercise. I like the fact that Total Gym is endorsed by Chuck Norris and has been for over 30 years. Christy Brinkley and Wesley Snipes are users that have joined him over the years promoting it as well. That is what gave me the extra confidence I needed when I decided to purchase one. I also remember some years back always seeing them do demonstrations on TV commercials.
I’ve have had gym memberships in the past but I wanted to have something at home for convenience without having to buy several pieces of equipment because I don’t like weights and things lying around everywhere that I might trip over. Also, I didn’t want anything that was going to take up a lot of room. If you live in an apartment, condo or only have a small space to work with, you get a good all in one trainer with a full-body workout that takes the place of several other pieces of equipment you might have to buy. That’s a lot bang for your buck.

Mine is almost 2 years old and I have it set up in an area in my home that It’s one of the first things I see it in the morning and the last at night. I do that because I know myself and at times, I can be a creature of lazy habit. I hate making excuses when because I don’t exercise as I should and it really helps me stay on track when I know I’m starting to slack off. It’s much easier to talk myself into using it than it is to go to the gym. I often hear my mind’s eye telling me to remember its time to workout. It also could be the guilt I’m feeling after eating things I know I shouldn’t be but, whatever works is fine with me.
Unfolding Is Easy
I’m very self-conscious about my legs and hips so I started using the glide board as soon as I set it up to do lower body exercises. I kid you not, within less than a week’s time I could see a difference in my leg and backside muscles. That surprised me because I wasn’t expecting to witness results that fast but it motivated me even more. It only takes about 8-10 minutes a day to get a full-body workout especially if you are in a hurry. You can get on and do them and jump right off. The CD’s are there for a reason so, don’t forget to use them because they help you to exercise properly, making it rewarding and fun.
Get Familiar With The Moves
I also like doing a few light exercises if I find myself unable to fall asleep at night. l also love the wing attachment because it’s very easy to use and I did a 2 month (flabby arm challenge) and the results after 2 months were phenomenal. The universal gym makes exercising rewarding and fun.
The glide board once in a while, gets stuck in place on mine and comes off the track and I have to get off and take a minute to slide it back into place.
It’s also not as convenient and easy as it sounds, to fold it up after every use and slide it under the bed.
It has been worth every penny I spent because I can change my mind several times before I DON’T end up at the gym. I highly recommend the XLS Model. Oh, don’t forget to get your whole family in shape and in on the fun as well!
